Give the gift of original art this holiday season by visiting the Anonymous Art Show
North Van Arts’ annual festive fundraiser features over 700 artworks to choose from
There’s nothing more thoughtful or impactful than the gift of original art. The Anonymous Art Show, North Van Arts’ annual festive fundraiser, is just the place to find it.
CityScape Community ArtSpace will be transformed into a kaleidoscopic world of wonderment with 740 unique artworks by 365 local artists.
With hundreds of 8” x 8” canvases on display, you can browse and find the one that speaks to your soul. The artists remain anonymous until their work sells for $100 each, with the artist and North Van Arts sharing the proceeds evenly. With so many original artworks, there are many stories to be told.
“When I paint, I forget time and place... I feel calm and relaxed. Art is the one thing that continues to help keep me feel grounded, positive, and happy," says participating artist Shakun Jhangian. “I have been a participant in the Anonymous Art Show every single year, except one, from the time it came into being…CityScape is close to my heart."
The show supports North Van Arts’ ongoing projects while also showcasing artists in the community.
"The past 18 months, the world has experienced many challenges and changes,” says Nancy Cottingham Powell, North Van Arts’ executive director. “North Van Arts wants to help support our community by providing opportunity for celebration of everyday creativity and community connections. Art can uplift, inspire, offer hope, and provide opportunities to reflect, grieve, and move forward.”
The Anonymous Art Show sale begins online on November 25 at 7 pm. Explore and be inspired by all the artwork in-person or online.
