Does This Taste Funny?

Deconstructing a chef’s journey from food to comedy, Canadian comedian Ali Hassan brings his hilarious show Does This Taste Funny? to Anvil Theatre on April 19 at 7:30 pm.

Much of Hassan’s one-man stand-up show is based around his decade working in the food industry, his connection to fine dining, and his struggles with over-eating. Hassan will also share stories from his recently released comedic memoir, Is There Bacon In Heaven?.

The comedian’s career plans started off as simply as anyone’s: become a chef, get a food show on television, and have oven mitts with his face on them. But the show shares how over the course of 12 years, Hassan learns that sometimes life gets in the way of your dreams.

An award-winning film and TV star, Hassan has toured Canada with his solo show Muslim Interrupted, and is the host of stand-up comedy show Laugh Out Loud on CBC Radio and SiriusXM.

Tickets to Does This Taste Funny? are available at Anvil Theatre.
