The Robert M. Ledingham School of Theatre, Music & Film at Arts Umbrella announces the mainstage productions for its 2024 Expressions Theatre Festival, which runs from April 26 to June 21 at the Jack and Darlene Poole Theatre.
This year’s productions include Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic musical Cinderella, an innovative adaptation of L.M. Montgomery’s iconic story Anne of Green Gables, and a brand-new Canadian musical called The Quest.
The festival also features the premiere of a Goldilocks and the Three Bears retelling, an original work by renowned playwright Meghan Gardiner. It was commissioned by the Robert M. Ledingham School of Theatre, Music & Film, and will be performed by the Theatre Troupe as part of Arts Umbrella’s Eco Theatre Project.
A part of Arts Umbrella’s overall year-end Expressions Festival, these shows are a celebration and culmination of the year’s work of its Advanced Troupe students.
