Arts Umbrella Dance Company’s delightful annual holiday production of Mixed Nuts runs at the Vancouver Playhouse from December 16 to 18.

A modern and engaging twist on Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Mixed Nuts brings an assortment of dance styles together for an extra-special holiday treat.

New for 2022 is a Fosse-style piece, choreographed by Nicole Rose Bond.

Dance // Novella co-founder and Ballet BC alumni Racheal Prince has also contributed fresh choreography to the Dolls, Harlequinn, and Candy Cane pieces.

Arts Umbrella Dance Company is Arts Umbrella’s pre-professional repertory company. The company rehearses and performs new, innovative works by leading North American and European choreographers in their season, which includes Mixed Nuts (performed annually in December) and Season Finale (performed annually in May).

AUDC’s broad-based performance and touring opportunities, along with rigorous technical training, prepares dancers for education at the university level and/or a career with professional dance companies.
