Opening Ballet BC’s 2023-24 season, HERE hits the stage at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from November 2 to 4, with performances at 8 pm each night.

The bill features the return of one of the most popular works in Ballet BC’s repertoire by a legendary creator, an epic large ensemble piece, and an anticipated world premiere from a choreographer new to the company.

Enemy in the Figure from William Forsythe, first shared with Ballet BC audiences in 2018, is a dark and thrilling poem about vision, perception, form, and chaos, making use of a ticking, brooding score by Thom Willems.

Shahar Binyamini’s BOLERO X is a new 50-performer take on Maurice Ravel’s iconic 1928 musical work that explores the power of repetition and the emergence of new meanings.

Plus, Miami-born, Netherlands-based choreographer Stephen Shropshire shares a new creation, his anticipated debut work for Ballet BC audiences.
