Nominations now open for BC Reconciliation Award
BC Achievement Foundation celebrates people and groups who show exceptional commitment to furthering Truth and Reconciliation
There’s no shortage of excellence in British Columbia, and the BC Achievement Foundation believes it’s important to recognize those who are dedicated to excellence in their field and nominate them for their accomplishments.
Now in its third year, British Columbia Reconciliation Award recognizes individuals, groups, and organizations who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity, respect, and commitment to furthering Truth and Reconciliation in the Province of British Columbia and/or have inspired others to do so.
BC Achievement works in partnership with the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia to deliver the program and together, they are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2023 awards are now open.
BC Achievement encourages people to look around in their community and make note of who is doing great work and deserves to be recognized so their story can be shared. Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee including representation from Indigenous Elders and leadership.
Since forming in 2003, BC Achievement Foundation has celebrated the province’s finest. The only organization of its kind in Canada to honour entrepreneurs, artists, leaders, visionaries and volunteers, BC Achievement shares the singular stories of these exceptional individuals.
The foundation runs five annual award programs that recognize accomplishment in the areas of community leadership, applied art + design, First Nations art, Indigenous entrepreneurship, and reconciliation.
Every one of the recipients is a conduit for change. The effects of their work ripple outward, building momentum while impacting countless lives. BC Achievement programming ignites a movement that captures the best of BC and carves a path forward for others to follow.
Nominations will be accepted until January 20, 2023. Be part of it. #nominatenowbc.
