May 1 marks the opening of the 2023 Call for Nominations for BC Achievement Foundation’s 15th annual Indigenous Business Award program, honouring and showcasing the best of Indigenous business.

The Indigenous Business Award program recognizes Indigenous businesses that generate economic development, create partnerships, and shape communities. Since its inception, the program has recoginized excellence in more than 200 Indigenous businesses and individuals.

Whether they be small, large, community-owned, or in a joint venture with industry partners, the stories of successful Indigenous businesses in B.C. are elevated through the program. This recognition helps move society forward in a collective journey of reconciliation. The enterprises being awarded provide new opportunities and stronger relationships, and help make communities more resilient, inclusive, and prosperous.

Established in 2003, the BC Achievement Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission to honour excellence and inspire achievement throughout the province.

Nominations for Indigenous businesses can be submitted via the BC Achievement Foundation from May 1 to 31, 2023.
