The Beaumont Studios presents Keep Calm and Murray On from October 17 to 31 at 7 pm and 9 pm

IN THE WORDS of Dr. Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters, “Well there’s something you don’t see everyday”: the Beaumont Studios is hosting a one-of-a-kind event just in time for Halloween, featuring burlesque, booze, paranormal chaos, and—get this—iconic Bill Murray moments.

Called Keep Calm and Murray On, the theatrical production combines all things sexy, silly, and supernatural with references to Murray’s most memorable films, including Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, and more. Local neo-burlesque artist April O’Peel directs scenes that range from vaudevillian ghostbusters to wrestling-infused dance routines. (To give you an even better idea of the absurdity at play, performing artist Ash Bubbles plays the jaguar shark that devours Murray’s character’s BFF in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.)

The production runs from October 17 to 31, with showtimes at 7 pm and 9 pm. Two signature cocktails are included with each ticket purchase to level out the craziness.

Murray has long been regarded as a legend for his deadpan comedic delivery in films. This reputation was further solidified when he was awarded The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2016.

Keep Calm and Murray On’s oddball concept is definitely fitting with the actor’s track record; among his more bizarre real-life antics are crashing a stranger’s bachelor party and delivering a sentimental speech, stealing fries off someone’s plate in an airport restaurant, and washing dishes at a random college party in Scotland—all with the cheeky departing remark: “No one will ever believe you.”

During the show’s two-week run, the Beaumont Studios will also display a selection of Murray-inspired artwork and merchandise submitted by fans in the B1 Gallery onsite. Guests can stop by before the show to check it out.
