When Band of Brothers: Levin and LaBarbera takes the stage at the BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts at Capilano University on January 19, fans are bound to marvel at the uncanny synergy of siblings playing together.

Both sets of brothers—Tony Levin and Pete Levin, and Pat LaBarbera and Joe LaBarbera—have been friends for decades, and wield impressive individual credentials.

Tony, who just toured with Peter Gabriel, is among the world’s most-recorded bass players, with contributions on albums by John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, Dire Straits, and more. Pete, meanwhile, is a synthesizer specialist who has graced hundreds of jazz and pop recordings by the likes of Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Charles Mingus, and Annie Lennox.

Saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, and composer Pat tours with his own Juno Award-winning band, while drum master Joe is best known for his recordings with pianist Bill Evans’s trio.

Tickets to the 7:30 pm concert are available at capilanou.ca/centre.
