Internationally acclaimed jazz composer and saxophonist Jeff Antoniuk performs with Capilano University jazz ensembles on October 25 at 7:30 pm at the BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts.

Born in Canada and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Antoniuk’s recordings with the Jazz Update and the MARS 4-tet reveal a musician with sterling technique and compositional prowess, elevated by an enthusiasm for African and world-based traditions. Over the decades, he has shared stages with such talents as Ray Charles, Marcus Miller, and David Foster.

Antoniuk teaches jazz masterclasses to thousands of students every year, and has led discussions on art and education at the White House. His online JazzWire instructional videos have garnered millions of views.

Following a multi-day residency guest-teaching Capilano University’s jazz students, Antoniuk will lead both large and small CapU jazz ensembles in an eclectic repertoire featuring his own works and pieces by other composers.

Tickets are available through the BlueShore at CapU.
