Musician, poet, and actor Benjamin Clementine makes his Vancouver debut with an intimate night at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on December 13 at 8 pm.

With a haunting voice, incisive lyrics, and piano playing that invokes influences ranging from Claude Debussy to Nina Simone, Clementine is proving himself to be a generational talent.

Raised in London in a strict Catholic household, Clementine left home at 16 and began his career busking on the streets of Paris. From there, he returned to England and released his Mercury Prize-winning debut album At Least for Now. He has since toured with David Byrne of the Talking Heads, collaborated with Damon Albarn of Gorillaz, and been named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government.

For this concert, Clementine will share experimental chamber-pop music from his forthcoming album Sir Introvert And The Featherweights.

Tickets are available through the Chan Centre.
