Chor Leoni men’s choir is hosting their annual VanMan Summit Concert on May 13 at 7:30 pm at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, featuring over 200 tenor, baritone, and bass singers of all ages.

Alongside Chor Leoni, the concert will feature The Leonids, a nine-member professional ensemble led by Chor Leoni’s artistic director Erick Lichte; the singers of Chor Leoni’s MYVoice educational program for youth; emerging choral artists; and the VanMan Festival Singers.

The show is a grand culmination of mentorships, rehearsals, and performances, including The Turning: Chor Leoni & The Leonids at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church on May 11 at 7:30 pm.

The celebratory concert will include Argentinian and Malay folk songs, Medieval and Renaissance motets, show tunes, pop songs, sea shanties, and Romantic and contemporary choral classics. It will also feature composer Sarah Rimkus’s The Watcher of the Wood, a deeply personal and poetic exploration of PTSD that premieres on May 11.

Tickets and more information are at Chor Leoni.
