Musical powerhouses Dawn Pemberton, Jodi Proznick unite for O, Come All Ye Soulful at the Shadbolt and online, December 3
Backed by a four-piece band, the artists put their own fun and jazzy spin on holiday classics
Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in partnership with Cellar Jazz presents O, Come All Ye Soulful featuring Dawn Pemberton and Jodi Proznick at the Studio Theatre and via livestream on December 3 at 8 pm.
TWO LOCAL MUSICAL dynamos are joining forces for a joyful, jazzy evening of holiday tunes.
Vocalist Dawn Pemberton is regarded as the queen of Canadian soul, while Jodi Proznick is a Juno-nominated bass player. When the two take to the stage for O, Come All Ye Soulful, they will perform holiday favourites by the likes of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, John Legend, Donny Hathaway, Otis Redding, Darlene Love, the Eagles, Vince Guaraldi, and more.
The duo will be accompanied by a quartet of accomplished local musicians: Cory Weeds on tenor saxophone, Chris Davis on trumpet, pianist Tilden Webb (piano), and Jesse Cahill on drums.
