Step into a world of creativity and inspiration at The Show, Emily Carr University of Art + Design’s annual exhibition of work by graduating students from across five art, media, and design programs.

Opening Night is on May 9 from 6 pm to 11 pm. The exhibition will be on display from May 10 to 23 at the Emily Carr University campus, and for folks who can’t visit in person, there will also be a virtual exhibition hosted online.

Featuring pieces by over 350 graduates, this year’s exhibition promises to be an immersive sensory experience. Whether guests choose to explore the online gallery or visit the campus, they will be treated to a variety of bold, innovative, and stunning installations and works reflecting the diverse perspectives of the university’s graduates.

Expect to find works spanning several disciplines, including illustration, photography, visual arts, ceramics, print media, painting, performance, drawing, sculpture, cultural practice, communication design, interaction design, industrial design, 2D and experimental animation, 3D and computer animation, film, sound arts, and more.

Not just an exhibition, The Show is also an opportunity for art collectors and industry leaders to scout new talent. Graduates step onto the world stage after completing training at Emily Carr University’s diverse degree programs.

This year’s graduates join the ranks of some of the most influential creative professionals working today, including alums such as Stan Douglas, Sonny Assu, Neko Case, Brian Jungen, Douglas Coupland, and Annie Liu, among others.

The Show exhibits at Emily Carr University’s campus, located on Great Northern Way, and includes a series of Dynamic Media Screenings for film lovers—it’s free, open to the public, and a fantastic opportunity to visit the university’s gorgeous new building.
