EXPERIENCE THE fire of flamenco through a livestream from the Annex Theatre on May 22, as Flamenco Rosario showcases new work performed by a new wave of Vancouver dancers and musicians in Regeneration 2021.
Veteran choreographers Rosario Ancer and Spain’s Pilar Ogalla (who’s made a splash at the Vancouver International Flamenco Festival) and Albert Hernández (former dancer with the National Ballet of Spain) have created new works for performers Katia Flores, Yurie Kaneko, Meghan Asher, Charo (Chien-Ai-Tsai) Rosa Tatiana Celis, Elizabeth Bruce, and Jessica Oryall.
The music comes live, courtesy singer Stephanie Pedraza, guitarist Peter Mole, and percussionist Davide Sampaolo.
