Friends of Chamber Music welcome back the long-time audience favourite Han Finckel Setzer Trio on February 6 at 7:30 pm at the Vancouver Playhouse.

Cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han, partners in life and in performance, appear frequently with violinist Philip Setzer in music from the piano-trio repertoire. Finckel and Setzer were long-time members of the legendary Emerson String Quartet, which performed its farewell concert in Vancouver in 2022.

In collaboration with pianist Han, the musicians are preeminent in the piano-trio realm, performing masterpieces of the repertoire to international acclaim.

For this Friends of Chamber Music concert, the lineup will keep to the tradition of large-scale piano trios with performances of Franz Schubert’s Piano Trio No. 1 in B-flat Major, Opus 99, D898, and Piano Trio No. 2 in E-flat Major, Opus 100, D929.
