The Han Finckel Setzer Trio returns to Vancouver on February 18 at 7:30 pm for a program of stellar music. Having performed 10 concerts for Friends of Chamber Music over the past 13 years, this group has matured into an audience favourite.

Cellist David Finckel and violinist Philip Setzer were longstanding members of the legendary Emerson String Quartet. Life partners Finckel and pianist Wu Han joined forces with Setzer to become a pre-eminent piano trio, and have performed to international acclaim for over two decades.

Enjoy a trio of masterpieces in this concert at the Vancouver Playhouse. The program starts with Haydn’s sophisticated Piano Trio in A major. Beethoven’s early sensation, his Piano Trio in G major, Op. 1, No. 2, follows. The highly skilled musicians finish with Dvořák’s rightly celebrated Piano Trio No. 4 in E minor, Op. 90, “Dumky”.

Tickets and more details are available through Friends of Chamber Music.
