She’ll be celebrating Indigenous culture on the virtual stage at the next installment of Indigifest 2021, taking place August 19. Curr co-hosts the program with Rob Thomson, a musician of Haida ancestry.

Curr releases music with her duo, Wolf And the Raven, with Clayton Charleyboy, while her recent single, “Thing Called Love”, was arranged with Thomson.

Thomson is a managing producer at Full Circle: First Nations Performance as well as music programmer for the Talking Stick Festival. In 2019, Robert received the Emerging Performing Arts Leader award presented by the Canadian Association for Presenting Arts.

Also on the August 19 bill is the Melawmen Collective, which offers “a contemporary Indigenous alternative fusion woven together with elements of hip/trip hop, rock/folk, righteous rhymes and rich harmonies, carried through with experience, manifestation, and visions of intergenerational stories of pain and healing”.

Merritt-based country singer-songwriter Bobby Garcia, of the Nlaka'pamux First Nations will perform as well as folk-pop singer-songwriter and storyteller Myc Sharratt; Michelle Heyóka, a singer, songwriter, and mother of two who overcome adversities and poverty stemming from her childhood in the projects; and Lorissa Scriven, who has been creating music since 2009 diverse artists from across the country.
