EARLY MUSIC VANCOUVER presents an Italian Baroque Festive Celebration with Pacific Baroque Orchestra on December 23, featuring music director Alexander Weimann and mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó,
A long-time PBC collaborator, Szabó was recently appointed an assistant professor of voice and opera at UBC.
Highlights of the program include Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto fatto per la notte di Natale, Alessandro Scarlatti’s Cantata pastorale per la Natività, and Georg Frederick Handel’s Concerto Grosso op 6 no 8.
The YouTube concert is free (but donations are welcome); the concert will be accessible for a full year after its premiere.
