Friends of Chamber Music brings The Juilliard String Quartet to Vancouver

The ensemble is celebrating its 75th anniversary this season

The Juilliard Quartet is an outstanding ensemble that has performed for Friends of Chamber Music on numerous occasions and that returns to the local stage on November 22 at 7:30pm at The Vancouver Playhouse.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary this season, the Juilliard String Quartet (JSQ) has inspired audiences around the world since its founding in 1946.

In Vancouver, the JSQ will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Quartet No.13 in B-flat Major, Opus 130, with published finale; Jörg Widmann’s String Quartet No. 8, Study on Beethoven III and Cavatina – String Quartet No.10, Study on Beethoven V; as well as Beethoven’s Grosse Fugue, Opus 133.
