Kay Meek Arts Centre presents Juliet: A Revenge Comedy, a Monster Theatre production by Pippa Mackie and Ryan Gladstone, from December 4 to 8 with showtimes at 3 pm and 7:30 pm.

Juliet: A Revenge Comedy takes a closer look at the misfortune of Shakespeare’s most famous female characters, starting with an inquiry into what might happen if the titular heroine in Romeo and Juliet decided not to die.

Stuck in an endless loop of turning a dagger on herself, Juliet breaks out of her tragedy in search of a reason for her untimely demise. Along the way, she recruits a team of the Bard’s most well-known women to find out why they’ve been forced to die. Attempting to alter their fates, the characters must determine whether they are doomed to play out the same dreadful tales for the rest of eternity.

Tickets are available through the Kay Meek Arts Centre.
