Expect a bold mix of live visual-art projections, songs, and poetry, as Kimmortal wraps up the UBC Artivism 2021: Queering the Self festival in style.
In a concert on the final day of the fest, October 22 at 8 pm at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, the queer, nonbinary Filipinx rapper and singer brings their own energized brand of big beats, experimental electronics, and empowering and often political lyrics.

That album was longlisted for the prestigious Polaris Prize and with a backing band, they’ve performed everywhere from SXSW to JUNOfest, Rifflandia, and the Winnipeg Pride Festival., where Kimmortal headlined
The annual Artivism event, meanwhile, has been hosting discussions and shows since September 24, providing space for underrepresented voices from the community and beyond to explore the intersections of their identity through the lens of the digital.
