The Metro Theatre presents Canadian theatre legend Bernard Cuffling’s acclaimed production of The Woman in Black, based on Dame Susan Hill’s book and adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, from October 12 to November 2.
This terrifying play is the second-longest-running non-musical in the history of London’s West End, and has captivated audiences around the world since 1987. The Woman in Black was first mounted in Vancouver in 2022 at the Jericho Arts Centre, and now it is set to petrify local audiences once again—including at an especially spooky Halloween performance on the evening of October 31.
Cuffling both directs this production and plays the role of ageing solicitor Arthur Kipps, who engages a young actor (Daniel Merlo) to bring his eerie experiences at Eel Marsh Manor to life. Neither man expects the unsettling events that soon unfold in this gripping, truly haunted story.
Tickets are available through the Metro Theatre.
