Music on Main brings back Flat Earth Society, one of Belgium’s most original jazz and avant-garde bands, for a one-night extravaganza at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre on November 3 at 7:30 pm.
Founded in the late ’90s by Peter Vermeersch, Flat Earth Society has gained international attention for its unique style and dynamic performances. This 15-piece ensemble mixes traditional brass band music with innovative and energetic jazz. Whether the sounds are meticulously composed or delightfully spontaneous, audiences can expect a night of incredible playing and boundless energy.
This unique event redefines the idea of a concert by blending films from various eras and styles with freshly composed music. Part of an original concept called HearSee—where eyes hear and ears see—the show delivers music on film and film on music with a projector, a screen, an audience, and Flat Earth Society.
