Now in its 14th year, the North Shore Art Crawl partners with local galleries, community centres, businesses, and art schools to invite the public to celebrate the talent of local artists by viewing their works and learning about their passions. A wide assortment of media displayed by the artists—including textiles, jewellery, pottery, graphic design, sculpture, painting, glass, and photography—guarantees that the event is memorable and unique. Venues range from traditional spots like artist studios and galleries to more casual settings at breweries and coffee shops.

The North Shore Art Crawl benefits local artists in an abundance of ways. Participating creatives get to engage with over 15,000 local community members and visitors alike, as part of an event that highlights and specifically celebrates the North Shore art scene. Folks taking part can sell artwork, develop new followers and customers, and network with other artists, allowing them to form and strengthen relationships with local businesses and organizations.

Artists also receive professionally curated advertising and promotion through North Van Arts’ established following and network, which includes an event guide and map along with the North Van Arts website and social media channels.

The North Shore Art Crawl is part of this year’s BC Culture Days, Canada’s largest public-participation campaign for the arts. North Van Arts is operating out of its exhibition hub at CityScape Community ArtSpace for the event, a City of North Vancouver–owned contemporary art space which it manages year-round.

Keep an eye on North Van Arts over the coming weeks for North Shore Art Crawl programming announcements.
