Pacific Theatre presents the world premiere of Ins Choi: Son of a Preacherman, a production full of whimsy, humour, and heart, from April 2 to 13. Showtimes are at 2 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8 pm.
Canadian writer and performer Ins Choi returns to the Pacific Theatre stage to share his own songs and stories found at the intersection of his faith and art. The creator of Kim’s Convenience riffs on Bible stories, his creative process, and growing up in a Korean church as the only begotten son of the head pastor.
Directed by Kaitlin Williams, Son of a Preacherman features a live band that includes musician-actors Ben Elliott, Rachel Angco, and Haneul Yi (who also serves as musical director). Lighting design by Jonathan Kim, along with production, set, and costume design by Jessica Oostergo, complete the show.
