VIFF presents In Conversation With Peter Gould in a free online event May 17 at 6 pm
BETTER CALL SAUL fans engrossed in the final season l have a chance to take part in an online mid-season conversation with the show’s co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer, Peter Gould for a mid-season conversation and Q&A.
So far, the season, on AMC and AMC+, is exceeding expectations, weaving ever more of the complex plot back into Breaking Bad, and completing the transformation of Jimmy McGill into criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.
Gould was a writer for the Emmy Award–winning series Breaking Bad—inextricably linked to Better Call Saul—for all five seasons of the show’s run, serving as executive story editor, producer, supervising producer, and co-executive producer. He made his television directorial debut in Season 4 and wrote and directed the penultimate episode of the series.
He has special insight into Bob Odenkirk’s Saul: Gould penned the episode that introduced the shady criminal lawyer in Breaking Bad. And when the series concluded, Gould and Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan decided they would create the spin-off prequel together.
For this online event, he’ll be in conversation with Los Angeles-based writer and editor Liz Shannon Miller.
We know you have questions: What is Lalo up to? How will Howard get his revenge? Is Gus Fring losing it? And why on earth doesn't the compelling Kim Wexler make it into Breaking Bad? Gould probably won't want to give away any of the answers, but at least you'll get some insights into what is turning into a perfectly crafted conclusion.
