Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and Cellar Music Group are joining forces to present jazz trumpeter and composer Jeremy Pelt in a cabaret lounge-style show on October 11 at 7:30 pm.

Pelt’s latest record, Tomorrow’s Another Day, may be his most experimental recording to date; notable for its variety and bold auricular explorations, it offers a thought-provoking emphasis on the dynamic aspects of sound.

Performing songs from the release, Pelt’s newest band features vibraphonist Jalen Baker, guitarist Alex Wintz, bassist Leighton McKinley Harrell, and drummer Jared Spears. Their talents blend seamlessly to evoke gritty scenes that pulse with elemental energy or surge transcendently skyward.

Through it all is Pelt’s creative presence, which serves as a grounding force to the myriad of musical textures surrounding him. Imaginative, communicative, and intensely personal, this is some of the most mesmerizing work he has delivered so far.

Tickets are available through the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.
