Shadbolt Centre for the Arts presents In the Belly of the Carp, a hybrid between a concert, play, and poetry reading, from November 28 to 30 with showtimes at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.

When brilliant but erratic songwriter Rodney has to give a concert, spectres from his troubled past emerge to play tug-of-war with his well-being, torpedo his relationships (especially with his long-time manager and closest friend Samantha), and plunge him into a battle for his soul inside a giant fish.

Created by Rodney DeCroo, Samantha Pawliuk, and David Bloom, In the Belly of the Carp includes visual fantasias by award-winning shadow puppeteers Chloé Ziner and Jessica Gabriel from Mind of a Snail. Director TJ Dawe helms the show, which features DeCroo performing his original songs and poetry with a cast of actors and a live band.
