Prepare for an uproarious journey back in time at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts with the hilarious and cringe-worthy Teen Angst Night on September 21 at 7:30 pm.
Audiences will laugh, wince, and reminisce as brave souls step up to the mic to read verbatim embarrassing excerpts from their once-cherished teenage notebooks.
Teen Angst Night has been running since 2000 and is the popular brainchild of Sara Bynoe, who hosts and produces the show. The upcoming edition in Burnaby will feature some of the best readers from past editions of the production—folks who have been requested, remembered fondly, or hand-selected by Bynoe as must-sees.
Teen Angst Night has been performed at Bumbershoot in Seattle and Latitude Festival in England, and featured in such publications as NYLON magazine and the Globe and Mail.
The show will feature a cabaret lounge and bar. Tickets are available at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.
