Krystle Dos Santos and Michael Scholar Jr. sing streamed Solstice Greetings via Firehall Arts Centre
The concert, with stories by Lord Strathcona students, is available for a week, but you have to buy tickets by 3 pm
The Firehall Arts Centre presents Solstice Greetings until December 27; tickets on sale until 3 pm December 21
KRYSTLE DOS SANTOS, the songstress who wowed crowds in the recent show Hey Viola!, will sing to celebrate the return of the light as part of the Firehall’s annual Solstice Greetings.
Streaming all week, the show features the star who’s also known from one of the venue’s most popular musical productions, The Chelsea Hotel.
Michael Noble Jr, who appeared in the Firehall’s rendition of The Enemy two years ago, will join her onstage.
The evening includes stories of the season written by nearby Lord Strathcona Elementary School’s Grade 6 and 7 English classes for an evening aimed at warding off the darkness—even when audiences can’t gather in person right now.
The venue itself has been closed since new public health orders on November 19 shut down its show The Amaryllis mid-run. The mandate is in effect until January 8.
