Art has the power to inspire and uplift us, and its role in moving the human spirit has perhaps never been more vital than in the unprecedented days of COVID-19.

North Van Arts, a grassroots social-profit charitable cultural organization, celebrates the intrinsic value of the arts—while also making art widely accessible.

The Art Rental Programme started in 1972 and is a fun, affordable way to display original art by talented local artists in your home or business. Created through an impressive range of media, the new 2021 collection explores a variety of techniques using oil, acrylic, and watercolour paintings; linocut, lithograph, and woodcut prints; photography; and mixed media.

All artwork is available to rent by the month, with fees ranging from $10 to $55 monthly, making for a wonderful opportunity for potential buyers to see how the artwork looks in their space before buying. The first three months of rent will go toward the purchase price, though there is no obligation to buy. People can change out the artwork as often as they like.

The Art Rental Show at CityScape Community ArtSpace displays works from the Art Rental Collection in salon style. With over 400 original works of art available for rent and sale by 150 artists, the works include landscapes, seascapes, portraits, abstract, and much more.

CityScape Community ArtSpace is a contemporary, interactive public art gallery that’s always free to visit. The Art Rental Show is on now until February 20.
