Studio 58, the professional-theatre training program at Langara College, presents Baggage from October 3 to 13 with showtimes at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. Talkback Tuesday takes place with the artists after the show on October 8, and a Relaxed Performance takes place on October 9.

Unabashed, cynical, and just a bit stuck, Jill navigates a new relationship with Ben in her late 20s. She’s surrounded by her failed relationships—literally. The emotional baggage of her exes lives in her apartment and the personified bags weigh in on her every move.

Written by Sarah Segal-Lazar and directed by Jessie Liang, Baggage explores what it’s like to be haunted by heartbreak and your past. The show was created with support from Playwrights' Workshop Montréal, and subsequently translated into French with support from Théâtre Aux Écuries and Festival du Jamais Lu.
