Join the Vancouver Cantata Singers for ROAM as they perform music and folk songs from the U.K., Nordic countries, North America, and South America at the Annex on March 1 at 7:30 pm.
Celebrating the spirit of roaming and wonder, this program will feature a repertoire of kaleidoscopic works related to love, travel, and dance. Vancouver-based tap dancer Danny Nielsen will accompany the singers with a live tap performance.
Originally from Calgary, Nielsen began his rhythm-tap career as a founding member of M.A.D.D. Rhythms Canada under the direction of Lisa La Touche. He previously held the role of artist-in-residence with the Vancouver Tap Dance Society and is a recipient of the Scotiabank Dance Centre’s Santa Aloi Award. He has toured extensively both as a solo artist and with Shay Kuebler’s Radical System Art in Telemetry.
Tickets to ROAM are available through the Vancouver Cantata Singers.
Post sponsored by Vancouver Cantata Singers.
