The Vancouver Chamber Choir hosts their holiday offering Christmas by Candlelight on December 22 at the Pacific Spirit United Church. Performances are from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
A new tradition started last year, Christmas by Candlelight creates a contemplative atmosphere which allows audiences to lean back and enjoy an hour of calm during the hectic lead-up to the holidays. Join the choir for the show’s second edition as they present music by Heinrich Isaac, Sarah Quartel, Matthew Whittall, and more.
The aim of Christmas by Candlelight is to change the way audiences hear music. The dimly lit church removes all sources of sensory overload that normally impact vision in modern life. As a result, hearing becomes keener, allowing listeners to quite simply feel the music in a different way.
Tickets and details are available via the Vancouver Chamber Choir for both the early show and late show.
