The Vancouver Chamber Choir is thrilled to be launching its 2022-23 season with SEA PSALM. The exuberant concert takes place on September 23 at 7:30 pm at Pacific Spirit United Church and features guest artist Stephen Smith on organ.

The starting point for the season-opening performance was Smith’s own Sea Psalm, and the Vancouver Chamber Choir continues riding a wave of joy throughout the entire program. Sounds of the water combine with glistening and undulating textures of the organ, as the music embodies the ebb and flow of life, from turbulent storms to blissful calms.

The concert also features classic works by Byrd, Schütz, and J.S. Bach as well as exciting contemporary choral music, including a piece by Vancouver Chamber Choir composer-in-residence for the season, Matthew Whittall.

Vancouver Chamber Choir offers flexible 4-concert subscriptions (save 15% off single ticket prices) or a 10-concert Whole Songbook package (save 25% off single ticket prices). Subscribe before September 30 to reserve your favourite seats for performances at the Orpheum Theatre (A Choral Feast and Springtime) and the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (Jubilee).
