Vancouver New Music’s annual festival returns for another edition from October 17 to 19 with PROPULSION, a co-presentation with VIVO Media Arts Centre.
Local guest curators Kendra Place, Anju Singh, and Reylinn have each programmed an evening that centres emerging artists with visionary sonic and musical expressions. Exploring themes of futurism, the artists move forward towards developing and advancing their disciplines and the contexts they work in.
This year’s lineup features a variety of both local and visiting artists doing a wide range of exciting work, including Hot Snack, Jane Harms + Donna Allen (Montreal), Markus Floats (Montreal), baptized.in.prison, El Ángel Exterminador, Wasauksing Sniper (Winnipeg), FITNESSS (L.A.), and DJ Zygote with dancers Josh Ongcol, Rae, and ADAM.
Artist talks take place on October 18 and 19 at 7:15 pm. Performances start at 8 pm each night.
A schedule and more details can be found at Vancouver New Music.
