Casino Royale (2006).

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Film Concerts Live! present Casino Royale in Concert, produced in association with EON Productions and Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios. Performances are at the Orpheum on January 12 and 13 at 7 pm, as part of Movie Nights with the VSO presented by TELUS.

For the first time ever, audiences will experience Bond on the big screen accompanied by a full symphony orchestra performing composer David Arnold’s thrilling musical score live to picture. Directed by Martin Campbell, 2006’s Casino Royale features James Bond at the start of his career, having just earned 00 status and his licence to kill, and introduces viewers to a new Bond—Daniel Craig.

American-Canadian guest conductor Julian Pellicano leads the nearly three-hour performance, which features an intermission. The Royal Winnipeg Ballet principal conductor specializes in performing live orchestral film scores, from Star Wars to The Wizard of Oz.

Tickets are available via the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
