Experience the classic music of Gene Kelly’s iconic films in an entirely new way with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at Gene Kelly: A Life in Music, which takes place at the Orpheum on November 15 and 16 at 8 pm as part of the London Drugs VSO Pops series.

Performed by a live symphony and accompanied by insightful stories, the show includes scenes from Kelly’s most beloved films, such as Singin’ in the Rain, An American in Paris, Brigadoon, Summer Stock, Les Girls, It’s Always Fair Weather, and Anchors Aweigh.

Audiences will see Kelly splash in puddles, spin with Jerry the Mouse, passionately embrace the beautiful Cyd Charisse in “Heather on the Hill”, tap dance on roller skates to the music of Andre Previn, and more. The show, written and hosted by his wife Patricia Ward Kelly, also features rarely seen footage from television specials and newly discovered audio recordings.

Tickets are available through the VSO.
