Guest conductor Nicolas Ellis returns to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra to lead Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 & Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring three performances at the Orpheum from January 26 to 28.

Ellis is joined by acclaimed Macedonian pianist Simon Trpceski to take on Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in A Major, bursting with originality and brilliance. In Tchaikovsky’s colossal Symphony No. 4 in F Minor, listeners will battle with fate itself. Plus, the show features a new complementary work by Kelly-Marie Murphy titled And so be changed to lightning in the end, which is sparked by light overcoming darkness.

The concerts on January 26 at 8 pm and January 27 at 8 pm are part of the Assante Vancouver Centre Masterworks Diamond series, while the show on January 28 at 2 pm is part of RGF Integrated Wealth Symphony Sundays.

Tickets and more details are at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
