Vetta Chamber Music honours nature's stories in Land and Sea, November 15 to 18

Vetta Chamber Music continues its latest season of offerings from November 15 to 18 with Concert Two: Land and Sea, which connects a mentorship initiative with cross-cultural collaboration.
The first half of the program features music related to the land and its stories, including works by Sibelius and Bloch, and Yellowknife-based contemporary composer Carmen Braden’s “The Raven Conspiracy”.
In the second half, the Vetta Chamber Players Mentorship Orchestra performs a remount of Vetta Chamber Music’s 30th-anniversary cross-cultural commission “Seasons of the Sea”, with words by Coast Salish and Sahtu Dene artist Rosemary Georgeson and music by Jeffrey Ryan.
Performances take place November 15 at 2 pm at West Point Grey United Church, November 16 at 7:30 pm at West Vancouver United Church, November 17 at 2 pm at Pyatt Hall, and November 18 at 2:30 pm at ArtSpring on Salt Spring Island.
