Vines Art Festival presents Commodified Trauma & Supernatural Gentrification at Access Gallery to December 20.

 

VINES ART FESTIVAL artist in residence jaz whitford has curated the fest’s first group show.

The inaugural gallery exhibition for local queer Indigenous artists TJ Felix, Kitty Guerin, and Erica Masuskapoe, Commodified Trauma & Supernatural Gentrification is taking place at the Access Gallery and features prints and originals.

Felix is a Secwepemc two-spirit artist and musician from the Splatsin region of Secwepemculecw. Guerin is a xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) mixed-media artist who works with graphite, coloured pencil, and acrylic paint, among other media. Masuskapoe is a two-spirit Nehiyaw Okihcihtâw Iskwew (Cree Warrior Woman) artist, writer, and storyteller.
