PODIUM 2026, Canada’s national bilingual choral conference and festival, is the top meeting place for the country’s choral and group-singing community.
Presented by Choral Canada and the British Columbia Choral Federation, the multi-day celebration will take place from May 14 to 17 in Victoria, and will bring together hundreds of delegates and thousands of performers and audience members from across the country and beyond who are passionate about group singing.
This year’s PODIUM festival will present eight feature concerts showcasing local and international choirs, as well as the free Choirburst event and Pop-Up Concerts series. An opening celebration at Farquhar Auditorium on May 14 at 1 pm will include performances by students of the Greater Victoria School District No. 6, a mass Francophone choir (composed of singers from Chorale Saint-Jean, Voix des Rocheuses, and Les Décibels), and The Choirs YYJ. The festival closes at the same venue on May 17 at 4 pm with Calgary’s Luminous Voices and the Vancouver Youth Choir; the concert will include a world premiere from Christine Donkin, which was made possible by a consortium of 17 choirs as part of PODIUM’s first-ever national commission initiative.
Access all eight feature concerts and save 20 percent with a festival pass, which are now available for purchase along with individual tickets. Visit the Festival Box Office to learn more.
