Heritage Asian Eatery makes dim sum to go this Easter weekend
Takeout is a lifeline for so many restaurants amid new B.C. public health orders banning indoor dining
RESTAURANTS ARE SCRAMBLING to adapt to the March 29 B.C. public health order that they shut down for indoor dining until April 19 as a COVID-19 circuit-breaker. Patio service is still allowed, as are takeout and delivery.
Check your favourite places to see what they are offering; for many local eateries that don’t have patios, takeout is their lifeline for the next few weeks.
Here’s one way to celebrate Easter at home while supporting local: Heritage Asian Eatery has created an Easter Dim Sum Package serving two to three people with new menu items and popular classics.
The feast features prawn dumplings, truffle siu mai (Cantonese-style dumplings), a dozen Heritage wings, eggplant and chive prawn cake, XO radish cake, lotus leaf sticky rice, and black sesame balls.
The restaurant specializes in Asian comfort food at its two locations: 382 West Broadway and 1108 West Pender Street.
Available from April 2 to 4 between 11 am and 3 pm PST, the Easter Dim Sum Package is $69. Separate family feasts are also available. See here for more information.
