The Cultch presents IGNITE! 2022 at The Cultch from May 18 to 22.
WESTERN CANADA’S LARGEST largest youth-run arts festival is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year. IGNITE! 2022 is programmed and curated entirely by members of the Youth Panel at The Cultch.
The event features theatre performers, filmmakers, writers, poets, dancers, musicians, and VR and visual artists—all aged 13 to 30—as well as participants from The Cultch mentorship programs.
Each night offers a diverse spread of performances in a variety-show style under a theme, from Dew Drops and Summer Daze to Lightning Strikes.
Among the highlights are three new one-act plays by local emerging playwrights. A VR Stand showcases a range of works by emerging artists who have been playing with the medium for the past year.
And IGNITE! Visual Arts Exhibition runs to May 29 online and at The Cultch.
Tickets are by donation.
