Imagine Van Gogh extends its run to September 7, and expands summer hours
The giant projections of the Post-Impressionist painter’s work fill 25,000 square feet of the Vancouver Convention Centre
THE SUNFLOWERS, starry nights, and wheat fields will continue on a grand scale: due to popular demand, Imagine Van Gogh has extended its run at the Vancouver Convention Centre a final time, to September 7.
It’s also expanding its hours to include an earlier opening time of 8:30 am on weekends starting July 10.
The exhibit, which projects Vincent Van Gogh’s famous paintings to eight-storeys high, accompanied by classical music, fills 25,000 square feet of the convention centre.
The scale allows viewers to be engulfed by his famously expressive brushstrokes, and see them in detail.
The contactless experience has limited capacity, timed entries, and will operate in full accordance with current British Columbia’s public health guidelines.
You can read an interview with its creator here, and see our review of the immersive show here.
Tickets are on sale now at www.imagine-vangogh.com.
