Canadian Opera Company presents In Winter featuring Melody Courage online to June 18, 2022.
VANCOUVER-BASED METIS soprano Melody Courage made her debut with Canadian Opera Company on December 18, with In Winter streaming until next spring.
Courage performs the world premiere of composer Ian Cusson’s In Winter. Set to words by Red River Métis (Michif) writer Katherena Vermette, the work features the chorus and orchestra of the Canadian Opera Company, conducted by Johannes Debus.
Also on the program are Vivaldi’s “Winter” from The Four Seasons and holiday songbook favourites like “Deck the Halls”.
