Impermanent Flower conjures a magical, mystical world.

New Works proudly presents Impermanent Flower, featuring Salome Nieto with Adam Farnsworth, on May 27 and 28 at the Roundhouse Performance Centre.

Integrating Butoh with elements of storytelling and illustration, Impermanent Flower is a performance piece that explores ideas of happiness, impermanence, and beauty. It is inspired by a prominent image in Butoh: the wilting flower; the beauty of the flower is not on its blossom but in the process of dying.

The presentation is a creative collaboration between Mexican and Canadian artists, showcasing Nieto’s mesmerizing choreography and performance, alongside the masterful designs of Natalia Renteria. To step into Impermanent Flower is to be transported to a magical, mystical world. This production is inspired by children’s literature pop-up books and can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.
