IT’S A CHANCE to catch the stars of tomorrow: Arts Umbrella Dance Company, a pre-professional repertory company, will present its season-closing MOVE before the troupe of 90 artists embarks on a European tour.
The grand finale also marks 30 years of artistic leadership under Artemis Gordon.
On the program are works choreographed by Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, Fernando Hernando Magadan, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Livona Ellis, Gioconda Barbuto, Jera Wolfe, and Wen Wei Wang, among many others.
The dancers come from across the world, including Canada, the U.S., the Netherlands, Australia, France, Italy, Taiwan, and Spain. After appearing on-stage locally, the group will perform with the Royal Conservatory in The Hague at Amare, its new shared home with Nederlands Dans Theatre; Codarts University in Rotterdam; Amsterdam University of the Arts’ year-end festival; and will collaborate with various European arts organizations.
Tickets and more details are at Arts Umbrella.
