The Launch Festival of Emerging Artists is inviting rising talents across multiple disciplines to submit applications by May 17.
This year’s event celebrating and supporting the work of emerging artists across dance, theatre, music, film, and digital arts takes place June 4 at SFU Woodward’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.
Launch helps promote new artists to establish a career in the arts. Selected artists are given a platform to share creative work and gain feedback, and learn directly from established artists in a masterclass format.
Founded in 2010, the fest is the perfect launch pad for emerging artists who are looking to build professional relationships, gain career insights and creative support, and connect with artists across the Lower Mainland.
As part of the process, a mix of industry-leading artists and arts mentors help facilitate the day’s activities and discussions.
Who can apply? Emerging artists with a practice in any contemporary performance art (including dance, music, theatre, film, digital, or interdisciplinary), with people from diverse and minority backgrounds especially encouraged to apply. You can find more details and the application form here.
